Easy Pasta with Simple Pesto Sauce and Feta Cheese Recipe

April 29th, 2010

This is a really tasty, simple recipe. The garlic, tomatoes and goat cheese (with a squeeze of lime) are such a yummy combination – it’s a good wake up for your taste buds when everyday meals get dull. An old friend of mine used to make this all the time, so I give all the credit to her.  My husband and I still make it often and really enjoy it. You can really go by feel with this recipe without screwing up. Less garlic, more cheese? No problem. More tomatoes? Always a good idea. You can even wilt spinach and throw it in there… fresh parsley is good, too…

April 26th, 2010

The bathroom sink is a place that can get crusty and gross if you leave it alone for the shortest period of time.  One day, while I was playing football in the street with a bunch of bike messengers, one of them told me a little tip that changed my relationship with the bathroom sink forever.

What Causes Inflation?

April 26th, 2010

What causes inflation?  That question is often answered in a way that sneakily avoids answering the question “What IS inflation”?

Like a lot of people, I first heard about “inflation” in the late 1970’s.  That’s why the prices are going up, we were told.  We were told that oil prices had increased, which meant that gas prices

Money, Money, Money

April 26th, 2010

Money.  Humbug.  It ain’t what it used to be.  It buys less and less of practically everything than it used to.  If you set a twenty dollar bill down on your desk, and watch it closely, every few days, a penny’s worth of purchasing power magically evaporates off the surface of the bill. (more…)

Hello, world.  This is Richard.  It is an honour and a pleasure to be here at my new home on Waterballoon Media!  I will shortly be shedding the pleasant, polite, “new-guy” demeanor and get right down to business.  But I did want to take a moment to say “Hello” and wish you all a wonderful read.  (more…)
